HELLO, HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL, AND WELCOME TO MY FAREWELL BROADCAST OF "WHAT'S UP, WILDCATS". I'M SHELBY YOUNG. TODAY IS MONDAY, MAY 23, 2022. HERE'S WHAT'S GOING ON:

Attention to all athletes: All athletic lockers located in the boys and girls locker rooms next to the old high school gym need to be cleaned out and locks removed for summer cleaning by Monday, June 6th.

Attention Juniors: Applications for Senior Painted Parking Spots are now available in the Office and in Room 212 from Mr. Baird. Applications should be turned in by TOMORROW. Auditions for our two a cappella groups, Dynamix and Take Note, are today and tomorrow. Sign up for an audition time slot by scanning one of the QR codes on the flyers hanging around school, or in the choir and band room. Please message Miss Adams with any questions.

Attention to anyone interested in running Cross Country next year: There will be an informational meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 AM for anyone interested in participating in Cross Country next season! Meet Coach Green in the Makerspace.

The Girls Track and Field team placed 6th at the District Track Meet last Friday night. Congratulations to the following athletes who qualified for the Regional meet this week:
Lylla Kovacs was District Champion in the Long jump and also advanced in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
Natalie Kiefer was District Runner up in the 800 meter run, and McKenzie Bien advanced with her 3rd place finish in the discus.
Also scoring at the meet were Gracelynn Durkin in the discus, Sam Pettinger in the pole vault, and the 4x400 meter relay of Lauren Leurck, Lylla Kovacs, Carmen Kugler, and Natalie Kiefer.
Finally, the 4x800 meter relay of Natalie Kiefer, Dannon Lotz, Grace Kohls, and Lauren Leurck not only placed in the meet, but ran the fastest time for a Harrison relay in at least the last 20 years.

The Boys Track and Field team competed at the District track meet last Friday night. Congratulations to Josh Basich and Jayden Thompson who were both District Champions and will advance to the Regional meet this week. Josh won the shot put, while Jayden won the 800 meter run.
Also placing for the boys were Justin Poettker in the shot put, Kyle Hater in the pole vault, Addisen Kohls in the 3200 meter run, and the 4x400 meter relay of Jaxx Browning, Cooper Ives, Nathan Younker, and Jayden Thompson.

ON THE MENU AT LUNCH TOMORROW IN THE "W" CAFE IS A HAM, TURKEY AND BACON CLUB SUB; WITH CHEESY POTATOES, DELUXE TOSSED SALAD WITH CHERRY TOMATOES, APPLESAUCE, PEARS, AND MILK.
