Acceptance Week wraps up with the Pep Rally this afternoon and the Yellow Out at the game tonight. The yellow Acceptance Week shirts have a new design this year, so if you haven't purchased yours yet, do so today! The cost is $10. These shirts should also be worn to the game tonight! Be loud, be proud, and Beat Ross!

All seniors are encouraged to keep an eye on the Scholarship page in Naviance. Each day new scholarships are added. This page can be found by clicking on the "Colleges" tab, then click on "Scholarships and Money", next click on "Scholarship" lists. See your Guidance Counselor with questions.

The next Key Club volunteer event is TOMORROW at Matthew 25 Ministries from 11 to 1. They will meet there at 10:45. Even if you were unable to make their first meeting of the year, you are still welcome to sign up! Please see the sign up sheet outside Mrs. Siemer's room, Room 217, and see Mrs. Siemer if you have any questions.

As a separate reminder, if you would like to join Key Club this school year, please submit your Key Club dues of $12 to Mrs. Siemer ASAP. Thanks!

Attention students looking for volunteer hours: After school tutors for homework help and remediation are needed at Whitewater Valley Elementary. This would take place after school from 3:30 - 4:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If interested, please email sharon.gieringer@southwestschools.org or call Whitewater Valley at 367-5577 and ask for Mrs. Gieringer.

Juniors and Seniors: Just added to the colleges visiting Harrison High School is Miami University. Juniors and seniors should go to Naviance if you would like to meet with a representative from Miami University.

Seniors: There will be a Senior Class Cookout TODAY before the football game against Ross, in the senior lunch area. The cookout will start at 5 and go until 6:30, and there will be free food, games, and fun.

Dig Pink shirts are on sale at lunch this week. Long sleeve shirts are $12 and short sleeve are $10. All proceeds go to the SIDE-OUT Foundation to support breast cancer awareness and treatment. Wear your shirt to the "Dig Pink" Volleyball game on October 3 and get in FREE.

Attention all sophomores: The last two sophomore float building sessions will be held this Saturday, from 1-4, and this Sunday, from 12-2. If you have not attended two sessions already and are signed up to participate in boys ball or girls powder puff, and if you have not been excused by a class officer, you need to attend these sessions this weekend. Float building is being held at Cole Long's. Please see either Rachel Rivera or Cole Long for the address or with any further questions.

Attention all current members of National Honor Society:

Mr. Karn has created a Team page for NHS that you have been made members of. You can access this team page through One Note. Please take the time to read the important message that has been posted for you. The message contains information regarding the selection of NHS officers, the payment of NHS dues and our upcoming tutoring program before school. Please read the message and take the actions that Mr. Karn is requesting as soon as possible.

TOMORROW, there will be senior class float building at Claire Loos's house from 7-9 PM. Everybody wanting to participating in Boys Ball or Powder Puff must come to 2 float building sessions. For Claire's address, please see her, Mr. Ward, or Mrs. Hinterlong.

There will be a meeting for the Gay-Straight Alliance on Monday after school. They will have snacks and drinks, and the meeting will be in Mr. Thomas' room, Room 216. Join their Teams page, @GSA 2.0, for more information.

Homecoming shirts are now on sale! Pick up an order form in the Office or Cafeteria. Short sleeve shirts are $10 and long sleeve shirts are $15. Orders must be turned in to Mrs. Hasenohr by Tuesday, September 24 to be guaranteed a shirt. See Mrs. Hasenohr in Room 234 with any questions.

The JV Green Tennis team dropped a close match to McAuley, 3-2. Madysen Sword got a singles win, and the doubles team of Lanie Mills and Lily French got a win as well.

ON THE MENU AT LUNCH MONDAY IN THE "W" CAFE IS A HOT HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICH, WITH TOMATO SOUP, BROCCOLI, PINEAPPLE, PEACHES, AND MILK. IN THE FRESH FARE LINE, THE FEATURED ENTREE IS "DELI DESTINATION".
