Quality Profile

WHO WE ARE...

SLSD one of 85 districts across the State to release Quality Profile, used in conjunction with state report card

In Southwest Local Schools, we take pride in the outstanding opportunities that we make available to our students. We live our mission of helping our students to grow academically and socially every single day through our core values: trust, respect, ownership and leadership. Our staff is passionate about empowering our students to become innovative global citizens and life-long learners, and we are committed to ensuring excellence through our academic programming, leadership opportunities, arts, athletics, extra-curriculars, student support, community outreach, and fiscal stewardship.

All of these elements combined together are truly what makes a school district successful in providing a well-rounded educational experience to our children for college and career readiness, as well as ensuring that they are equipped to participate in a global society as leaders, ready to make a difference in the world.

The Quality Profile, available in the column to the left, is a comprehensive look at all of these factors and the purpose of the report is to communicate to the Southwest community our commitment to provide the outstanding opportunities that define a high-quality education to our students, and to showcase our students’ successes in and outside of the classroom.  These are accountability measures that are not captured on the state report card, and although there is some value in analyzing test results, they alone do not define us as a school district.

Southwest Local is one of the 85 school districts across the state of Ohio to release a Quality Profile, sponsored by the Alliance for High Quality Education, a statewide education consortium that works to improve educational opportunities for students and to represent member districts on matters of educational policy and funding.
