Update

Thank you so much for an amazing first week back with students!  The energy and enthusiasm in the building has been great, and we have enjoyed seeing the students back, with their smiles, engaged in their work!  Thank you also to everyone who came to our Meet-the-Teacher Night this past Wednesday; we hope that that was a worthwhile and productive time for you to help start the school year off strong!

Please see below for some important information and updates.

Picture Day – Tues 8/22

School Picture Day is Tuesday, August 22.  We have received a limited number of hard copy order forms, which are available in the office.  Forms are available here to print and send in on Tuesday, or you can order directly online through Ritchie Photos/Executive Studio here.  Please contact the Main Office at 513-367-4169 with any questions.

Scarlet Oaks students will get their pictures taken at Scarlet Oaks on Mon 9/25, Diamond Oaks students will get their pictures taken at Diamond Oaks on Fri 9/29, and we will receive those files for our Yearbook.

Arrival/Pick-Up/Traffic

Thank you for all of your patience, kindness, and understanding with arrival and dismissal traffic this past week.  You have helped us get off to a strong start with arrival and dismissal traffic, and dismissal will continue to improve over the next week.

Our school day is the same as last year: 8:05 AM – 2:55 PM.  Doors open at 6:45 AM and all students should report to The Commons upon arrival.  Students should not remain in the building after school hours without teacher supervision.  Students who are not involved in a supervised after-school activity shall be required to be in the high school supervised Commons area or must leave both the high school and the Activity Center by 3:15 PM.

The bus for Diamond Oaks will be parked at the main entrance to the High School and will leave at 7:15 AM each morning.  Students should arrive five to ten minutes early to make sure they catch the bus; it returns each day at 2:40 PM.

When dropping off or picking up your student, please be patient, especially during the first two weeks while our new families learn the traffic pattern.  We also ask that when lining up to drop off or pick up that you please pull as far forward as you can before stopping to let your student out of the vehicle.

Please remember that Wildcat Way (the two-way street between the main building and the stadium) is a no parking zone and we must keep it clear at all times.  This also applies to after-school events as bus traffic uses Wildcat Way throughout the afternoons and evenings as well.  Also, at dismissal for anyone coming south on Dry Fork to pick up their student, the Harrison Police Department has suggested entering the central campus using the Harrison Junior School entrance and going all the way around to the high school as this will help reduce traffic through the roundabout.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO REVIEW THE ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP TRAFFIC INFORMATION FOUND HERE.

Final Forms

All parents/guardians should log in to Final Forms and update their student’s forms. This is where we pull our information for communication purposes, so please be sure your information is up to date. This is also where you will go for instructions on how to access ProgressBook.
