Academic and Social Growth for ALL students, EVERY DAY!

School Profile

Crosby Elementary was first built in 1951 in the rural community of Crosby Township and was identified as Crosby Township Grade School. The new Crosby Elementary School opened in 2021.  Today, Crosby Elementary is one of four elementary schools in the Southwest Local School District. It is situated just northeast of the city of Harrison in Crosby Township in western Hamilton County. The attendance area also includes a small southwestern section of Butler County. Crosby Elementary has experienced growth, several additions to the original building, and ultimately a new building to replace the original building which had become outgrown and functionally obsolete - but the school still maintains the community feel. The school serves 800+ students in kindergarten through fifth grades. At Crosby we live the mission, motto, and core values of the Southwest Local School District-

Mission: “Academic / Social growth for ALL students, EVERY DAY!”
Motto: “Excellence through Relationships!”
Core Values: Trust, Respect, Ownership and Leadership
