Parents and Students,

We hope all of you enjoyed a great weekend. Below are some updates for events happening this week on William Henry Harrison High School's campus.

 

Camp Wildcat For Incoming Freshman 

We are looking forward to seeing all our new freshman this Wednesday, August 11 at 9am in the Activity Center Auditorium.  We have a great day planned, full of information and activities that will focus on creating a successful freshman year. We still have some construction projects happening on campus. The new roundabout that crosses the intersection of West Road and Dry Fork Road will not be open on Wednesday August 11th. Due to this closure, you can get to the Activity center by traveling east via West Road passing the airport to the entrance of the Activity Center. If you are traveling south on Dry Fork Road you can enter through the new Middle School entrance and travel around both the Middle School and the new Elementary to arrive at the Activity Center. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Below is the agenda for the day.

9:00 – 9:20     Martin Marietta Theatre - Welcome Class of 2025!
9:30 – 10:00   Break-Out Session #1
10:10 – 10:25 School Spirit (Stadium)
10:35 – 11:05 Break-Out Session #2
11:10 – 11:40 Lunch (HS Café)
   Schedules handed out
11:50 – 12:20 Break-Out Session #3
12:30 – 1:30   Scavenger Hunt / Laptop Distribution
   Complete the Hunt to get your laptop!
1:30 – 2:00     Snow Cone Social / Dismissal

 

Schedule and Laptop Distribution for Upperclassmen
Laptops and schedules will be handed out to Upperclassmen on August 12th in the cafeteria from 8am to 6pm. 

 

All students received their schedule for the new school year before they left for summer break. We always anticipate a few changes for some students based on changes during the summer. On August 12th the building will be open from 8am until 6pm, so upperclassmen can pick up a fresh schedule and laptop. Students will have the opportunity to walk the halls and find their classes for the new school year.

 

New School Start Date & New School Hours
For the upcoming school year, students will begin on August 17th.  Please make the changes on your school calendar.  In addition, there has been an update to our school day.  Our doors will open for students starting at 7:00 A.M. each day.  Our official school hours are 8:05 – 2:55.
