Symphonix A Cappella Places 3rd at Quarterfinals
On Friday, January 23rd, 18 of our high school students in our Symphonix A Cappella group competed in the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Quarterfinal #1 held at Warren Central High School. Our students performed 3 songs just using their voices and were adjudicated by 4 judges. They competed against 6 other high schools. One judge ranked them 1st place, two other judges ranked them 2nd, and the last judge ranked them 3rd place. After scores were tallied, Symphonix won 3rd place in the competition. One of the members, Parker Lawhorn, was also award best overall choreography that he created and taught the group.
Although Symphonix will not be advancing in the competition, we are very proud of our students' hard work, drive and unlimited passion for singing. They had a chance to relish in seeing old friends and making new friends from the competition. They also represented our school with pride and professionalism. Our CAT Boosters and parents stepped up as well to provide breakfast, snacks, support and transportation for our students. It could not have happened without them.
Thank you to everyone for your support of our amazing students and please be sure to congratulate these Symphonix students:
