Safety Drill at Secondary Schools

Posted on: September 21, 2022
Safety

Earlier this morning, Harrison High School and Harrison Junior School conducted scheduled lockdown drills.  During these drills, we partnered with the Harrison Police Department and multiple other law enforcement agencies throughout Hamilton County to bring multiple K9 units for a sweep of our buildings.

Today’s sweep yielded no findings by the dogs anywhere on school property, including the parking lots. We thank our neighboring police departments and K9 officers for their assistance with today’s sweep.

Our number one goal is student and staff safety, and these periodic sweeps are one of the ways we work to achieve that.  Please know that we will continue to focus on maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, each and every day. It is imperative that our students feel safe while in our care here at school.  We will also live our mission: “Academic and Social Growth for ALL Students, Every Day!”
