Back-to-School Community Resources

We would like to draw your attention to two events being put on by area organizations to support students and families as you prepare for the new school year!

HIGHLIGHTER
Church on Fire will hold their annual "Highlighter" event coming up on Friday, August 1 from 6-9 PM.  

Organizers say: "This one-of-a-kind, totally FREE event is all about celebrating community and sending kids back to school with a smile. Families can attend the BIGGEST PARTY OF THE YEAR, and check mark off two big ticket items before heading back to school: Collecting school supplies and getting a fresh haircut. In addition, we have waterslides, snow cones, face painting, food, and SO MUCH MORE! You won't want to miss it"

CLOTHING DRIVE
Christ's Loving Hands is sponsoring a Back-to-School Clothing Drive.  

The clothing giveaway take place on Saturday, August 9 from 10:00-Noon at First Presbyterian Church.

If you would like to donate clothing items, you can drop them off on Thursday, August 7 from 9-11 AM or 5-7 PM; or on Friday, August 8 from 5-7 PM.
