Updated Bus Routes for Second Semester

Posted on: December 23, 2020
Bus Routes

Paper copies of transportation information were sent home the week of December 14 with all elementary students who will be receiving transportation services for the 2nd semester.  For Junior School students, we did not have that opportunity as students were remote for most of that week.  As a result, we will be pushing out all transportation information to Final Forms once again so that families can log-in and see their updated route information.

Parents can log-in to Final Forms by clicking HERE, just as they did to complete the Second Semester Survey, and click on the "Transportation Information" tab to view their updated bus numbers, stops, and times.  Please note that there were many changes from the 1st semester, due to the number of students returning from the virtual setting and resulting overcrowding on several routes.  Additionally, there have been a few changes to the Elementary routes since transportation papers were sent home, due to additional enrollments and returning virtual students.  Please be sure to log into Final Forms to check your child's transportation information prior to the start of the 2nd semester on January 4 to check for any changes to routes.  Updated trip summaries featuring bus stop locations and pick-up or drop-off times for the second semester can also be found in the Transportation section of the district website, grouped by school of attendance, by clicking HERE.

A few reminders regarding transportation as we start the second semester:
- All students are required to wear masks on the bus.
- Please be sure to have students put their mask on at the bus stop and do their best to stay socially distanced prior to the bus arriving for pick-up each morning.
- Students should be out at their bus stop at least 5 minutes before their scheduled pick-up time to allow for variances in traffic or drivers assisting on other routes that may not be covered that day (note:  buses could be 5 minutes later than scheduled times as well for these same reasons).
- Students will have assigned seats on the buses for contact tracing purposes, as those students who are within 6 feet of a COVID positive student on the bus may be quarantined to help limit the spread of COVID-19 per the guidelines issued by Hamilton County Dept. of Health.
- Students will be seated with just one other student (generally from their same bus stop or household) and must remain in that seat for the duration of the ride to or from school in accordance with revised capacity recommendations as well.
- Buses will continue to be cleaned and sanitized by our drivers in between runs each day.

While we have only had to cancel a route one time thus far, we have had numerous other days with brand new sub drivers on routes or other drivers helping to cover a route whose driver was absent.  We realize that this has put us off schedule at times and GREATLY appreciate your flexibility and understanding when this happens.  We also want to thank those parents who are driving students to school each day so that we have room for other students to take the bus that may need it.  This had made a big difference in our ability to transport as many students as possible to and from school each day.
