"Wildcats Give Back" Day May 15
Spirit Week Dress-Up days: week of May 6th
Get ready to make a difference, Wildcats! We've got four incredible community events happening at the Junior School and we need your help to make them successful! Email jamie.johnson@southwestschools.org with any questions.
1. Wildcat Gear Collection: We're collecting gently used Wildcat gear at the Junior School. Bring your old t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other Wildcat-themed items. We'll wash them and make them available for students to buy.
2. Book Mobile: Our amazing teachers are starting a book mobile to bring the joy of reading to students. They need all kinds of books for kids, so if you've got books to spare, bring them in!
3. Soles4Souls Shoe Drive: We're collecting gently used shoes for the Soles4Souls organization, which helps provide footwear to people around the world. Any type of shoe is welcome, just make sure they're still in good condition.
4. Hygiene collection for Birthday Bags for the homeless: Bring in hygiene items that we will put into gift bags and a local homeless shelter will hand out.
And don't forget, the week of May 6th is Wildcats Give Back Week! Here's the schedule of themed days and the items we're collecting:
- Monday: Kindness "Ties" us together—wear a tie or bow tie and bring in socks.
- Tuesday: We don't hide from kindness—military/camo day and bring in lip balm.
- Wednesday: Kindness never gets old—dress like an old person and bring in your old shoes.
- Thursday: Peace, Love, and Kindness—tie-dye day and bring in toothbrush/toothpaste.
- Friday: Share the spirit of kindness—wear your Wildcat gear and bring in any of the following: perfume or cologne, personal fans, flashlights, travel tissue, hair combs, razors, lotion, shampoo, and so much more! Check out the full list for details.
