Important Information

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this email finds you and your families in good health and high spirits. On behalf of the entire staff at Harrison Junior School, I want to extend a warm welcome as your child embarks on an exciting journey into 6th grade, the beginning of their middle school experience!

Middle school is a pivotal time in a student's academic and personal development, and we are dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging environment where your child can thrive. Our passionate team of educators is committed to fostering a love of learning, cultivating critical thinking skills, and nurturing each student's unique abilities.

Throughout the year, your child will encounter new challenges, forge new friendships, and explore a wide range of subjects and extracurricular activities. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to ignite their curiosity, promote independence, and prepare them for the academic rigors that lie ahead.

We understand that transitioning to middle school can be both exciting and daunting for students and parents alike. To ensure a smooth transition, we have planned an orientation session entitled Camp Junior Wildcat, and will be followed by our 6th Grade Open House.  These events are designed to provide you and your child with valuable information about our school's policies, procedures, and support services. These sessions will also serve as an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you or your child may have.  This event will take place on Tuesday, August 8th from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.  Parents will join us during the last 30 minutes and go directly into our 6th Grade Open House.

Students will need to be signed up for Camp Junior Wildcat.  Click HERE to sign up.
In addition, students will be provided with dinner (pizza, chips and a drink) as well as a Harrison Junior School T-Shirt.

We strongly believe in the power of collaboration between parents, students, and educators. Your active involvement and support play a crucial role in your child's success. Throughout the school year, we will provide regular updates on your child's progress, important events, and opportunities for parent-teacher conferences to discuss your child's academic growth and well-being.  Following their Camp Wildcat Experience and Dinner we will begin with all families meeting in the Harrison Junior School Gym at 5:30 as students and families will have the opportunity to compete in some of our School Spirit/Pep Assembly activities.  Following this, families will have the opportunity to go through their child’s schedule and meet with their teachers.  One key piece is having up-to-date information.  Please click HERE and take a moment to update your student's Final Forms.

At Harrison Junior School, we value open communication and encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. Our dedicated staff is always ready to assist and work together to ensure the best possible educational experience for your child.  During the summer, if you have any questions regarding schedules, tours, Camp Junior Wildcat, etc…. please contact our office at 513-367-4831.  If your preference is to use email, please respond to this email or email christian.tracy@southwestschools.org and I will forward them to the person who is best able to assist you.

On behalf of the entire Harrison Junior School community, I once again extend a heartfelt welcome. We are excited to partner with you as we embark on this rewarding journey together. Together, we will empower your child to reach their full potential and lay a solid foundation for their bright future.

Warm regards,
Christian Tracy
