Author Brings Anti-Bullying Message to SLSD

Posted on: November 27, 2019
Stop Bullying

The Southwest Local School District is proud to present a visit by an author and guest speaker to focus on bullying.  Michele Eich is a teacher, author, speaker, and encourager – and she is offering her message free of charge to parents from throughout the Southwest Local School District.

The program will focus on the definition of bullying, what it is, what it isn’t, and how parents can help guide their students through situations that involve bullying.  Michele will be presenting this program to all SLSD parents on Tuesday, December 10th from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Gymnasium at Whitewater Valley Elementary, 10800 Campbell Rd., Harrison.  Our Special Olympians will be selling snacks from the “Treat Trolley” (75 cents to $1) and bottled water ($1) in the lobby.  The proceeds will benefit Special Olympics field trips and community trips for our students with special needs.

Michele will be speaking to Whitewater Valley students on December 5.  Her student presentation focuses on bullying, character education, and the writing process using a children’s book that she has recently written and had published, Mari!  Her book is about a little caterpillar who faced the bully to follow her dream. Michele talks to students about how to “bully-proof” their lives so that they can follow their dreams.

Michele’s website is https://www.micheleeich.com and you can reach out to her via email with any questions in advance: MicheleEich007@gmail.com.

We hope to see all SLSD parents in attendance on December 10!
