Youth Track

We are pleased to present information for the 2021 season of Harrison's Youth Track & Field program that is available to the entire community. The design of this program is to introduce the sport of track & field to kids in our area. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of the sport and at the same time develop athletic skills such as speed, strength, running form, and jumping and throwing ability that are useful in all sports. We are looking to have a fun, low-key environment that will build a passion, love, and interest in the sport.

Students from grades K-6 in the Southwest Local School District are eligible for this program. Practices begin the week of Monday April 12 and will all take place at the Harrison High School Track & Field Complex. Please see the calendar to follow for specific dates and times.

Meets will be on Saturdays at 9:00 am beginning Saturday, April 24 with the last meet on Saturday, May 22. Meets will be held at Harrison High School or Taylor High School. Athletes are not required to attend all meets/practices. Events will include the Long Jump, Softball Toss, and the 50, 75, 100, 200, and 400 meter Dashes and the 800m Run.

We are happy to offer Online Registration through the Harrison Athletic Booster website! Please visit harrisonathleticboosters.com, create a profile, and select “2021 Harrison Youth Track Registration” to enroll. Enrollment fee must be paid by credit/debit card if choosing to enroll online.

There will also be an in-person registration night at the Harrison High School Commons on Tuesday, March 23 from 5:30 - 7:00. Cost of registration is $35.

VOLUNTEERS are NEEDED!
We need Grade Supervisors to help at practices and meets! These helpers guide groups of athletes to each station and keep everyone together. This is a great way to get an up-close view of your child’s performance and helps make the program run smoothly!
