Information on Senior Week Activities

Graduation

Here are some important details and reminders regarding the multitude of senior events taking place this week.

 

SENIOR BANQUET

-        Tuesday, May 23.

-        Arrive at 6:00 PM and plan for the event to end at approx. 9:00 PM.

-        Nathanael Greene Lodge, 6394 Wesselman Rd. in Green Twp.  Park and enter in the rear of the building.  (You are responsible for your own transportation).

-        This is a “dressy casual” event.  (No jeans, shorts, gym shoes, etc.)

-        Admission by ticket only.  Harrison High School Seniors only. 

-        Event features dinner, awarding of Senior Superlatives, viewing of Senior Video

 

ACADEMIC & MILITARY SIGNING / SCHOLARSHIPS / ACADEMIC AWARDS NIGHT

-        Wednesday, May 24. 

-        Academic/Military Signing at 5:30 PM, Scholarship presentations at 6:30 PM, Senior Academic Awards at 7:30 PM.

-        Activity Center Auditorium.

-        This is a “dress up” event.

-        Students being recognized were notified via invitation.

-        Admission is free and open to all.

 

SENIOR DAY

-        Thursday, May 25. 

-        Meet in the Activity Center Bistro at 8:00 AM for donuts.

-        We will leave via school buses for Northern Kentucky University at approx. 8:30 AM.

-        Free time at NKU Rec Center (swimming, racquetball, basketball, sand volleyball, ping pong, running track and more).  Pizza will be served for lunch before returning to school at approx. 1:30 PM.  (Bring a snack if you think you will get hungry mid-morning).

-        You are welcome to bring books, cards, board games, etc. if that is more your speed.

-        Wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes.  Bring a swimsuit and a towel if you plan to swim.

-        Admission by ticket only.  Harrison High School Seniors only.

 

GRAD WALKS

-        Friday, May 26.

-        Meet at Harrison Junior School at 9:00 AM, then meet at your elementary school at 10:00 AM.  (You are responsible for your own transportation).

-        Walk the halls together as a group while being cheered on by the junior school and elementary students.  This is also a great opportunity to reconnect with former teachers!

-        Wear your cap and gown and any cords/medals you have earned.

 

GRADUATION REHEARSAL

-        Tuesday, May 30.

-        Meet in the Activity Center Bistro at 8:00 AM for donuts.  Rehearsal will begin promptly at 8:30 AM.

-        Attendance is mandatory.  If you do not attend rehearsal, you will not walk in the Commencement ceremony.

-        We will run through the ceremony multiple times; this includes the lineup, processional and recessional, and the process for receiving your diploma. 

-        On your chair in the graduate seating area you will be receiving a variety of items, including student fee notice if applicable, senior/baby pictures if you submitted hard copies, order forms for the Graduation Ceremony / Senior Video package, and any other items that need to be returned to you.  Please be prepared to take these items home.

-        You will not receive your diploma if you have unpaid fees.

-        Plan to be at the Activity Center until approx. 11:30 AM.

-        Wear gear from your college/university, military branch, or field of employment.
