Gehner Becomes First Harrison Student to Place at DECA ICDC

Forty one students recently returned from the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida. Thirty one competed in a range of events, and 10 attended the Leadership Academy. All students performed very well and handled themselves with class and professionalism.
Congratulations to Freshman Lanie Gehner on becoming the first Harrison DECA student ever to place at the International Career Development Conference. Lanie earned the coveted DECA Glass Trophy, finishing in 2nd Place in the Principles of Hospitality and Tourism Event.
It was another highly successful year for Harrison DECA, with 220 students competing at Districts, 180 moving on to State, and 41 attending ICDC in Orlando as qualifying competitors or Leadership Academy participants.
