Traffic Patterns & Drop off/Pick up Procedures

Morning Drop Off:

  1. Enter driveway on West side of the building (driveway to back parking lot) & pull as far as possible through the carpool lane using the lane closest to the building.
  2. Please do not leave your vehicle parked in the carpool lane - the idea is to keep traffic flowing to avoid congestion.
  3. Your child may exit the vehicle from the side closest to the building and enter.
  4. Once your child has exited the vehicle you may pull through the carpool lane to exit the lot.

Mid-day Kindergarten:

  1. AM Kdg pick up- follow below procedures & use the carpool lane around the back of the building for dismissal.
  2. PM Kdg drop off at 12:10 – please drop off in the front parking lot.

Afternoon Pick Up:

  1. Enter driveway on West side of the building (driveway to back parking lot) & pull as far as possible through the carpool lane using the lane closest to the building.
  2. Remain inside your vehicle while you are waiting for your child to be dismissed. Please do not park & exit your vehicle- the idea is to keep traffic flowing to avoid congestion.
  3. You may use the inside lane to exit once you have your child with you. 

*** Special Factors***

  • Due to recess schedules, the carpool lane will open at 2:50 p.m.  If you arrive prior to 2:50 you will not be able to access the driveway.
  • If you have end of the day transportation changes, please call the main office by 2:30 p.m. so we have adequate time to ensure your child is aware of the change.
  • There will be NO parking in the front lot during drop off & pick up due to bus traffic.
  • There will be spaces available to accommodate visitors & volunteers in the front lot during regular school hours (8:30-2:30).

Summer Camps

Opportunities abound in the Southwest Local School District this summer!  From athletics to STEAM to robotics, there are camps available for your children to keep them active, engaged and off their devices!

The Harrison Athletic Boosters are pleased to present a great lineup of summer athletic camps for aspiring young athletes of all ages.

Note that pre-registration provides a discount.  Walk-up prices on the day of camp are $10 higher and a t-shirt is not guaranteed.

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of camp so the camp can begin on time.

STEAM Summer Camp will take place from June 24-28.  Two sessions will be held, with multiple course offerings available during each session.  The morning session will run from 9:00-11:00 AM and the afternoon session will follow from 12:00-2:00 PM.  The Camp will be held at Harrison Junior School and is open to students entering grades 3-8.

Course offerings include Minecraft and 3D Printing, Art, Armory, Stop Motion, 3D Animation, and Music.

Harrison Robotics is pleased to present the annual Robotics Summer Camp.  The camp is for any student in grades 3-5 during the 2018-2019 school year.  The camp will take place July 22-26 from 9:00 AM - Noon at Harrison High School.

The Harrison Wildcat Golf program is proud to present the Harrison Junior Golf Camp.  Designed for ages 7-14, the camp will take place June 3-5 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at Circling Hills Golf Course.

The goal of the camp is to provide an enjoyable experience learning the game of golf while simultaneously creating a strong foundation of skills and knowledge necessary to enjoy this unique sport for a lifetime. To supplement group instruction, each camper will receive individual instruction each day and they will be given ample time to practice the lessons taught at the driving range, putting green, and on the golf course. The students will be taught USGA rules and etiquette to help them understand the game of golf.

The Reds Baseball/Softball Camps presented by UnitedHealthcare are back for an eighth season in 2019.  The camp will again be returning to Harrison High School from June 24-28.  The camps are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14.  Each camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

These official summer camps of the Reds have earned a reputation as some of the finest youth training camp experiences in America. This season promises to be an exciting one for Reds fans and sending your young athlete to Reds Camp is a terrific way to be a part of it all.

Reds Camps promise to combine 30 hours of great training and a terrific Reds experience including a V.I.P. trip to Great American Ball Park where campers will spend time with a Reds coach and meet a current Reds player.
