The January edition of the "Super Chat" podcast is now online at www.southwestschools.org/podcast.

In this episode, SLSD Director of Facilities & Communication Mike Morris recaps the annual Food & Clothing Drive, a partnership between the school district, JTM Food Group, and the Harrison Mayor's Community Fund.  A record number of food items, over 27,000 district-wide, were donated - helping to provide assistance to families residing within SLSD.

Director of Pupil Services Kiersten Rogers explains the PBIS system, a three-tiered behavior support structure in place for students, providing additional support for students who may be struggling emotionally or with living out our core values of trust, respect, ownership and leadership.  SLSD is partnering with The Character Effect to enrich the social-emotional learning piece, and with The Children's Home of Cincinnati for mental health and care coordination services.

Finally, Superintendent John Hamstra provides an update on the Mercy Health Community Care Clinic, scheduled to open this spring.

Be sure to follow Mr. Hamstra on Twitter @SLSDSuper for the very latest highlights from throughout the district.
