End of Year Information

Important Information

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that this is my last Parent Update of the 2019-2020 school year. I have truly enjoyed getting to know you and your child(ren) this year.  It makes me quite sad that this is how the year has to end. I am hoping that over the next few months our country can make great strides in fighting this virus so we can get back to some sense of normalcy in August!

As I wrap up my first year as a principal, and set goals for the future, I would appreciate your feedback on my performance.  Please take a few minutes to answer a short survey at  https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=7UrsNwBR2Uqkf17bBPylBumZq53WKtdBmo68VlDWqohUNTdVRUJGM0dEMDVVV0pCMjVMTUVXVUZKNi4u .

As always, if you have any questions on the items below, don't hesitate to reach out!

MESSAGE FROM MRS. OSTRANDER

I have been in contact with The American Heart Association several times since schools have closed down regarding your child’s reward prizes. When the schools closed down in early March, the association stopped sending prizes until schools reopened. At this time, they have not been cleared by health experts to resume the mailings so we will be receiving our prizes when school resumes in the fall. Unfortunately, this pandemic has caused many things like this to happen across our country and the world. The Heart Association and I thank you and your child for your patience in waiting for the prizes. I am assuming that I will have most of the students back at Crosby and that the 5th graders are moving on to the Jr. high. If that will not be the case for your family, please send me your forwarding address so that we can get the prizes to your child. If they are transferring to Whitewater, Harrison El., or Miamitown, I will be able to get their prizes to them through other gym teachers in the district. Thanks for your understanding!

You will be able to drop it off on Friday, May 22nd from 8:00-2:00 p.m. in the tubs in the front lot. You may also choose to scan Brain Bag #3 and email it to your child’s teacher instead of physically turning it in.  Teachers may also give you other directions on submission of Brain Bag #3 since it contained many projects that students may want to keep.

DEVICE COLLECTION

If your child borrowed a computer, all devices should be returned by Friday, May 22nd.

If you are dropping it off Friday, May 22 from 8:30-12:00 please come to the car-pool lane.

If you are dropping it off Friday, May 22 between 12:00-2:00, please drop it off in the front office.

If you need evening hours, we will collect devices on Thursday, May 21st in the car pool lane from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

FIFTH GRADE CELEBRATION PARADE

Since our 5th graders aren't able to celebrate in their usual fashion, we would like to honor them with a parade. Crosby staff will be lining up on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:30 a.m. to drive around town to celebrate our 5th graders heading to middle school. We will also be presenting them with a special yard sign to display proudly. If you have a fifth grader, you will receive more information on approximate times for your child to be outside for the parade. Let's hope for good weather!!!
