SAFETY 

ENROLLMENT / FINAL FORMS 

If your child is a current Crosby student, you do NOT need to re-enroll your child for the next grade level. You will just need to log in to your Final Forms account to confirm and update your forms for the upcoming school year. We will send reminders over the summer and at the start of the school year. 

ACADEMIC GROWTH 

PROGRESS BOOK APPS NOW AVAILABLE 

The Frontline ProgressBook Parent & Student Mobile App v1.0.2 is now available in both app stores.  

This release will now support the ability to receive push notifications for Missing Assignment and Low Mark alerts once upgraded. Once upgraded, the app will prompt parents and students to enable push notifications on their device if they wish to receive them. This update also contains enhancements to the calendar view which allows users to further filter and collapse the calendar to see more assignments for a chosen day. 

Parents and students will be prompted to update their app on their device.

SOUTHWEST TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Thank you to the people that attended the Crosby Town Hall meeting on March 15th. Although we were disappointed at the lack of turn out for the meeting, we did receive extremely valuable feedback from those that attended. Please consider attending one of our other Town Hall meetings this month. As a parent and community member your input is imperative to shaping the future of our schools.  Meetings take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Miami Whitewater- Thursday, April 13th & Harrison Elementary on Wednesday, March 19th.

OHIO STATE TESTING 

Students in grades 3-5 will take the Reading Ohio State Test between March 27 and April 6. Please avoid making appointments or scheduling vacations during this time. Students tend to perform best when they are taking the assessment with their teacher and in the regular classroom environment.  

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 

Kindergarten registration is open.  We will be running 3 full day Kindergarten classes at Crosby next year. There are a few remaining spots if you are interested in changing from half-day to full day.   

STUDENT FEES 

All students in half day Kindergarten – 5th grade have a school fee set by the Board of Education, which is used to purchase educational materials and other items used by each student. The fee for school year 2022-23 will be $55.00. Full day kindergarten is tuition based. Checks should be made payable to “Southwest Local School District” and can be sent in with your student or fees may be paid online. SOCIAL GROWTH 

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY 

Fifth grade Grandparents’ Day will take place on April 6th from 1:45-2:45. If students are being released with their grandparents, a note from the parents must be given to the teacher in advance. If siblings are going home with those grandparents, a note must be given to their teacher in advance as well. At 2:45, there will be an announcement for any student who has written permission to leave with their grandparent to report to the cafeteria. The office will NOT be calling students individually from classrooms at that time.  

MUSCIAL FOR 1ST & 2ND GRADE  

Students in 1st and 2nd grade will be transported to the Activity Center on April 26th during the school day to rehearse for their performance that evening. First grade will perform at 6:00 that evening and Second grade will perform at 7:15.

How do I access my child’s grades and report card? 

To access Progress Book login information, login to Final Forms https://southwestharrison-oh.finalforms.com and click on: Student/Parent Access Codes. All the information you need to create or access your account is here. If you are having any issues email parentaccess@southwestschools.org . 

How does the district/school communicate information? 

District- email using School Messenger, website, Facebook, Twitter  

School- Principal- Monthly Email/Text sent using School Messenger 

Facebook and Twitter are used to post reminders only- all new information will be communicated through email/text.
