MAP TESTING

Students in Grades 1-5 will be taking the MAP assessment the week of March 18-22. Please be sure your child is on time and try to limit any disruptions during the day, especially the morning hours. NWEA MAP helps our teachers measure students’ growth and allows them to create plans to meet each students’ individual needs.

BULLYING PART 2

Last week, we shared some important information about how we handle bullying at SLSD. We want to continue sharing information, since this is an important topic that the community highlighted throughout our community town halls.

Do you and your kids know how to report bullying? We have a very specific policy and procedure when it comes to bullying in our district. The first step of the process is to report any issues right away - our teachers and staff won’t know if there is an issue if no one says anything. Once something is reported, we then begin our process to handle the situation.

Ensuring our students feel safe and accepted in all aspects is important to SLSD, and we continue to try and find ways to make improvements every day!
