Update

Masks and social distancing are becoming the norm  for our face-to face students. The kids have been GREAT! Thank you for all your support so that we could get the students back in the building. Parents of virtual students, thank you for your patience as we work through this new endeavor.

Virtual Parent Group

If you are interested, there is a facebook page, "SLSD virtual school parents and caregivers" where you can lean on others for support and get tips to help manage daily work.

School Pictures

School Pictures are scheduled for September 23rd. There will not be any group photos taken in the fall, individual pictures only. Virtual students will be given the opportunity to sign up to come in for school pictures as well, a sign-up genius will be sent to you soon.

Mask Breaks

Students are permitted to take mask breaks when they are 6-feet away from all other students. During recess, there are designated areas for students who need a mask break. In addition, each class also has a scheduled time throughout the day to take a mask break.

Car Pick-Up

Thank you for all your patience this week in the car-pool lane. We made some tremendous improvements with both drop-off and pick-up thanks to your cooperation and suggestions.

If they have not already, your child will be bringing home a color-coded sign for you to hold up in the car-pool line for us to help your child find their car quickly.

Tinted windows make it difficult for us to see that your child is loaded in your car and you are ready to be released. If you would turn on your flashers when your child is loaded, that will help us know you are ready.

Student Fees

This year student fees are $50.00 grades Kdg through 5. Checks should be made payable to Crosby Elementary School or the Southwest Local School District. You can also pay fees using your online account. Please call the office if you have questions regarding school fees.

Free Meals

The USDA and the state of Ohio have determined that all students, regardless of your financial situation, may participate in school breakfast and lunch programs for free through December 31, 2020.  No child will be required to pay for complete breakfast or lunch meals at any of our Southwest Local Schools.  Extra entrees, snacks, individual milk, and other a la carte items that are not considered complete “meals” in the school lunch program are not covered by this waiver, but will be available for purchase just as they have been in the past.
