Building Healthy Families Offers Free Program
The Harrison Wellness Coalition is pleased to partner with several local organizations to offer Building Healthy Families, a free workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22. The purpose of this workshop is to help local families overcome barriers and learn skills to help strengthen their family – such as basic budgeting/money management techniques, prevention strategies against substance misuse, resources for struggling families, and where to find local services for a variety of needs. Speakers from PreventionFIRST!, Reach Out Pregnancy Center, Financial Peace University and Rock Solid Families will also be available to address questions following their presentations.
Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church and the Transformed Youth Center are co-sponsoring and hosting the event at their church at 9700 Dry Fork Rd from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, with registration/check-in beginning at 1:30 pm. Free childcare and refreshments will be provided.
