Homecoming 2022!

Homecoming

Student Council members have once again been working hard on creating a great week of events for Homecoming 2022. Listed below are events that will take place throughout the week. We look forward to having a very successful Homecoming week.

THEME: Lights. Camera. Action.

HALLWAY DECORATING –If you are part of a club, organization, or sports team and would like to create a banner as part of a homecoming week competition, please talk to your coach/advisor. It should relate to our homecoming theme and your organization. These should be up by Wednesday, Sept. 28.


Sunday, September 25-

  • Parade through downtown Harrison
    • Line-up will be at 4:30pm, parade will start promptly at 5:00pm. All participants should park at Harrison Elementary or on the side streets near the Harrison Community Center. ONLY PARADE VEHICLES WILL BE PERMITTED AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER.
  • Powderpuff is at the High School football field following the parade at 7pm (gates open around 6:15) – Cost is $3– open to the public.

 

Monday, September 26-

  • Spirit day for high school students: Grown Ups – dress like a dad (oversized shirt, shorts, sneakers, etc.)
  • Students are encouraged to attend the boys soccer game (JV at 5 / Varsity at 7)

 

Tuesday, September 27-

  • Spirit day for high school students: Teen Beach Movie – dress as a surfer or biker
  • Homecoming voting will be available to all classes starting at 12pm. Students will be voting for the Homecoming Prince, Princess, King, and Queen.

 

Wednesday, September 28-

  • Spirit day for high school students: Mean Girls – wear pink and be kind!
  • Students are encouraged to attend the tennis match at 4:15 
  • Boys Ball is at the Activity Center at 7pm (doors open at 6:30) – Cost is $3 – open to the public.

 

Thursday, September 29-

  • Spirit day for high school students: Stranger Things – dress like a character or in your best 80s gear
  • Students are encouraged to attend the girls soccer game (JV at 5 / Varsity at 7)

 

Friday, September 30-

  • Spirit day for high school students: Friday Night Lights – Harrison spirit wear
  • Pep Assembly during the school day
  • Homecoming voting closes at 1pm.
  • Football game starts at 7:00pm with homecoming court to be announced at halftime.
  • Movie Night for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY following the football game in the grassy area where the old junior school building was located. Starts 15 minutes after the football game and you will need to be picked up around 11:45pm.
    • Movie – The Amazing Spider-Man
    • Snack and drinks will be sold – cash only
    • Bring a chair and blanket – one person per chair/blanket!!
    • Once you leave the movie area, you will not be permitted back in.
