Important 5th Grade Parent Meeting Regarding Junior School Transition

Posted on: January 18, 2019
Parent Meeting

Dear Incoming 6th Grade Parents,

It is hard to believe, just a few years ago your students were starting their first day of Kindergarten.  Nervous children and nervous parents were watching their children walk into our great Elementary Schools, stomachs full of butterflies, and hearts filled with excitement.  Soon, families will be taking the next step as their students are preparing to enter Harrison Junior School, stomachs filled with the same butterflies, and hearts filled with the same excitement.  As our school and our families prepare for this experience we want to share with our parents and families.

One of the very first steps in this process is for us to meet with students and parents to discuss registration and the choices that students will have within their schedule.  Mrs. Lee, our 6th Grade Guidance Counselor and Mr. Tracy, Junior School Principal, will be joining our current 5th Grade students during the school day on the 22nd and 23rd of January.  Following this, we will host a parent meeting for all 6th Grade parents at 7:00 P.M. on January 23rd in the Harrison Junior School Café.

The goal of this meeting is to welcome our parents and students and share some of the basic information regarding Harrison Junior School, as well as an opportunity for parents and students to walk through the school.

If you have questions regarding Harrison Junior School, please email us at Nicole.lee@southwestschools.org or Christian.tracy@southwestschools.org.
