Senior Student Check-Out Procedures

Important Information

Parents and Guardians of Harrison High School Seniors,

As the 2019-2020 school year winds down, we wish to thank our students and parents for continuing to work hard throughout the remote learning process.  This is not the way that any of us wanted the year to end, but we’ve all made the best of it and we appreciate your flexibility and support.

The last day of remote learning for Seniors is Monday, May 18.  No new material will be assigned after Monday, May 11, giving students a week to complete all work by the deadline of May 18.

Plans for our Commencement ceremonies to honor the Class of 2020 were emailed yesterday.  They are posted on the high school website as well.  Also, any senior who was not home to receive their yard sign or cap & gown (if one was ordered) can pick these items up in the high school office beginning today.  The office is open from 8-2, Monday-Friday.

At this time, Seniors need to sign up for 15-minute block of time to complete “Student Check-Out” on Friday, May 22, using the Sign-Up Genius link below.  To maintain social distancing guidelines, only 10 students will be permitted in the building during each 15-minute block.  Parents, siblings, friends, etc. will not be permitted in the building.  Staff members will be wearing masks and gloves, and we ask that you do the same.

During Student Check-Out, you will return your school laptop, case, and charger.  You will also return any other school-owned property, including but not limited to textbooks, library books, uniforms, instruments, equipment, etc.  You will clean out your locker and remove the lock.  You will also have the opportunity to visit classrooms to collect any projects, papers, etc. that belong to you.  Anything not claimed by May 22 will be disposed of, and any school property not returned by May 22 will be charged to the student.  PLEASE NOTE:  You will not receive your diploma until your laptop has been returned, and all school fees have been paid in full.  If you have any missing items or outstanding fees, you will receive an empty diploma jacket on the home delivery days of May 27 & 28.  You may then pick up your actual diploma in the high school office at the same time you pay your fees.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us at 513-367-4169.  We are here to help.  Remember, distance doesn’t change the mission, and we need everyone to be 100% committed to remote learning until May 18.  Finish strong!
