It is hard to believe, but we are already 1/10^th of the way through the school year.  Students continue to excel.  We have excellent student attendance, students are engaged in the classroom, teachers are hard at work pushing children each day.  We have lots of after school activities starting ranging from athletics (who are having great success to start the year) to clubs such as Book Club, Robotics, E-Sports, The Gathering, etc…. It is amazing to see our students grow and we want to thank our parents for being so important in that process.

Mission, Motto & Core Values
Trust, Respect, Ownership, and Leadership are our non-negotiables.  This is what we expect out of ourselves, our students & our community.  Thank you for being a part of these values.  This week, we will be measuring your child’s progress in reading and in math by completing the MAP Assessment.  This measure is used to help us understand your child’s growth.  For many of you, your child has taken this assessment three times a year since third grade.  We use this data to drive our instruction and meet students where they are at.  This includes students who are behind grade level, at grade level, and above grade level.  This is one of the most important ways we can measure your child’s progress academically.

Yard Signs
Do you have a 6^th Grade Student?  If so, we purchased a yard sign as a way to welcome them to HJS.  Please stop by the Junior School Office and pickup your sign anytime during school hours.

Communication
