Renaissance Arts
''The Renaissance'' is a time period, in the 14th and 15th centuries, when the renaissance people copied Roman architecture to improve their art and buildings. ''The Renaissance'' studied ruins of roman buildings, art, and statues. Most of their buildings had arches, columns, and domed roofs. ''The Renaissance'' people are known for their life-like statue, sculptures, and religions paintings.

Famous People
Durer, Albrecht
(1471-1528) He was born Nuremberg, Germany on May 21, 1471 and Albrecht was the son of a goldsmith, his nickname was "the prince of German artists". He was the first person to become rich off of the Italian Renaissance. He was very smart though, because before he was sent to work with his dad he went to school.

Michelangelo Bubnarroti
He was known as one of the greatest Renaissance artists'. One of his best-known paintings is the ceiling and altar wall of the Sistine Chapel, in Rome. He also sculpted the Pieta, which showed a sense of motion.

Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo is another one of the Renaissance's greatest artists. He is known for his painting, ''The Mona Lisa'' and ''The Last Supper''. He was paid to paint these. Da Vinci was one of the first people to design parachutes. He was also one of the first people to make drawings of flying machines and make mechanical diggers.

The Key to Success
Renaissance people believed that the key to success was Rational Inquiry. They also believed that if you could paint well you would have a successful life and after life.
