Queen Elizabeth I

Elizabeth Tudor was hated from her birth. Everyone hated her they hated her mother too. She was treated as the princess she was but still hated by many.

Her father, Henry VIII , did not like the fact that she was a girl and after a long period of time her father got tired of trying for a boy with his wife Anne Boleyn and accused her of incest so that she could be executed. Many historians agree that this accusation is false. But since he was king Anne was executed on Tower Green in May 1536. Elizabeth was 2 years old.

She grew up with her Father and after a while he sent her away from the court to live with Queen Dowager Katherine. She was not there long before she was thrown out because of an incident with the Lord Admiral, Thomas Seymour. He was Katherine's husband and she kicked Elizabeth out after she caught Elizabeth and Thomas kissing or even possibly in bed together, Katherine was pregnant when this happened. Soon she gave birth to this baby girl and died soon. Soon after this Thomas was arrested for attempting to kidnap  King Edward and to marry himself to Elizabeth.

Thomas asked for Elizabeth's hand in marriage. She refused. Thomas plotted to kidnap the boy king. This time he was arrested and eventually executed for treason. When Elizabeth heard of the Lord Admiral's death this is what she said , "Today died a man of much with and very little judgment ."

                       The new Queen

Soon Elizabeth took the throne. As we all know Elizabeth never married. That is the most asked question "why?". Some have a theory that because of the way her father treated his wives Elizabeth was disgusted at the idea of marriage. Another theory is that since she couldn't marry the man she truly loved, Robert Dudley, that she didn't want to marry at all. When she became queen Robert was married but she died under mysterious circumstances a few years later. Even though he was innocent she could not marry him because of scandal.
