CASTLES

THIS IS A PICTURE OF A CASTLE ON A CLIFF FROM THE MIDDLE-AGES.  THE CASTLES WERE TO DEFEND THE CITY FOLK FROM THE ATTACKER.

Armory and Battles

There were many battles fought against castles, they were mainly fought with swords, armor, arrows and bows, spears, and flaming arrows. That was almost all the weapons used to defend many castles against the enemies.

Castle Destroyers

There were many ways to destroy the stone castles.  Those machines were called SIEGE MACHINES, BATTERING RAMS, AND THE EARLY CANNON. With those machines came the attack tower (like in Lord of the Rings 111-when the attack on that city came) the warriors would hide in there then attack when they were close to the castle. 
                                                                                                                         LORDS AND LADIES
                     


The lord and the lady were the most important people in the castle. They made sure there food and people were available for the army, etc. The lord and the lady were the most respected people in the castle. They lived in rich conditions. Unlike the poor the lords and the ladies were rich and owned beds. (Like the bed above). Many of the lords and ladies were very rich because they could decide whether or not to tax the peasants.
