Web Pages
Part One: Effective Searches
- Type as many keywords as you need to make the
search as specific as possible.
- Read the hyperlink search result before you
click on it.
- Use several search engines if necessary.
- My favorite is
www.google.com
- Pay careful attention to the "Authority" of the
page/site that you are viewing. Who made the page? When? Why? What is their
expertise or agenda or reason for making the page? Hmmmmmmm? Remember, almost
anyone can make a page about almost anything and post it to the WWW.

Best Results (List Search Engine):
Part Two: Using Existing Lists of Quality
Hyperlinks
- There are many sites that are simply a set of
hyperlinks to other sites. They may be indexed and annotated (or not!).
- They can be very useful BUT be aware of who has
created them and when they were created.

Part Three: Making your own Page/List of Links
- Adding to "Favorites"
- Copying URL into Word Document
- Copying URL into FrontPage and making a Web
page, then sending that file to Todd Sams at HJS,

, for him to post to the SLSD Web site.
