Mr. Sams' Guide to using www.stocksquest.com

First (above) you must go to www.stocksquest.com. Then you must login using the login name and password that Mr. Sams gave you. The VERY FIRST time you use the simulation you should "Join a Class". (below)

For the 2005-2006 school year here at HJS we will be using "sams0506" as the Class Name and "samshjs" as the Password in the fields (boxes) in the picture above. When you do that and return to the "My Stocks" page click on "Harrison Junior School" in the middle left of your account screen (shown below) to make sure that you are using your HJS 2005-2006 account for our class simulation. Your "Stocksquest" account is just for fun.

Above is a picture of what your account will look like. Some of the things you can do are:

• Buy Stocks 

• Sell Stocks

• Update (to update your account with the latest prices/values)

• Rankings (of the class)

• History (of your transactions)

• Edit Profile (change your name/password)

• and many more. (including stock information and tips.)

Because of the way our computers/servers operate at the Junior School you will want to hit the "Refresh" button in your browser toolbar when you are ready to buy stocks or if the account name is incorrect. Also, be sure to select "Logout" at the very top when you are done. (You do not want someone else using your account, do you?!?) Also please note that intentional use or changing of another student's account will get you in trouble, play fair!
