Issue Pamphlet 4:

Front Side: George W. Bush

Inside Front Inside:  Taxes

Mr. Gore's plan is a smokescreen that hides huge spending increases. Mr. Bush's fair and substantial cuts could give taxpayers welcome relief.

Environment

Mr. Gores environmental record is more sensible than his "end is near" alarms in Earth in the Balance.  He talks scary, but votes centrist.

Judiciary

Mr. Bush is more likely to appoint judges and justices who respect the rule of law and constitutional principles - and do not view the courts as a tool to advance an ideology.

Leadership

Mr. Bush's record as Texas governor is one of sound policy accomplishments across party lines.  Mr. Gore has the edge in details , but Mr. Bush has a better big-picture vision.

Character

Mr. Bush can seem remarkably callow.  Mr. Gore's problem is honesty. Neither is reassuring, but Mr.  Gore's habit of torturing the truth gives the edge to Mr. Bush.

Education

Mr. Gore would increase federal control to deliver what unions want most:  more money. Mr. Bush would respect local control and flexibility, using federal dollars to reward results.

Social Security

Al Gore's plan plays a shell game with the debt and perpetuates entitlements.  George W. Bush's plan at least begins to loosen Americans' dependency on the governments.

Health Care

Mr. bush's prescription drug promise has troubling gaps.  Mr. Gore's plan is very expensive.  If the goal is assured coverage, Mr.  Gore comes out on top.

Military

Mr. Gore is part of an administration in deep denial about military preparedness.  Mr. Bush is more likely to rebuild the military to protect U. S.  interests.

Social Issues

We favor Mr. Bush's positions, especially on abortion, where Mr. Gore is rigid and out of touch.  We like Mr. Bush's emphasis on self-reliance.  He is less polarizing.

Inside second page:  Governor Bush will reform the nation's public schools, as he has in Texas, which is one of two states that have made the greatest recent progress in education.

He will close the achievement gap, set high standards, promote character education, and ensure schools safety.  States will be offered freedom from federal regulation, but will held accountable for results.  Performance will be measured annually, and parents will be empowered with information and choices.

Governor Bush believes that roughly one-quarter of the surplus should be returned to the people who earned it through broad tax cuts- otherwise, Washington will spend it.  His plan will promote economic growth and increase access to the middle class by cutting high marginal rates.  It will also double the child credit, and expand  Education Savings Accounts and Charitable deductions.  The largest percentage cuts will go to the lowest income earners.  As a result, 6 million families will no longer pay federal income tax.

Front side:  Remember To Make The Right Decision and Vote For Bush

Inside Front Page:  Bush's Plan On Child Welfare/Family Policy

Bush Will:

1.  Provide states with an additional one billon over five years to keep

2.  He requires states to conduct criminal background on prospective foster and adoptive parents.  So the children are under good hands.

3.  Set the goal that permanence for children in the child welfare system means returning to a safe home and family.

4.  Bush will provide too hundred million in competitive grants over five years to community and faith-based organizations for initiatives that promote the crisis of father absence.

5.  Grants will also be award to organizations that conduct marriage education courses that teach conflict resolution.

Inside Second Page:  No text

Back Page:  Remember... Bush is for you!!

Issue Pamphlet number 2:

Front side:  George Bush For President

Inside First Page:  Do you want year-round schooling?

Al Gore thinks that year-round schooling is a good idea.  We shouldn't have to go to school all throughout the year because of many reasons.

1.  Our schools are not air conditioned.  We could die of heat exhaustion.

2.  We should get a break to have time to go on vacation and hang around all summer and do nothing.

3.  We need a break from everything like school.

Choose life over death.  Al Gore believes in abortion.

1.  There are plenty of parents looking for a newborn to adopt.

2.  Each child should have a chance to live their life without it getting taken away.

Inside Second Page:  Do you want criminals walking the streets?  Al Gore doesn't believe in the death penalty; Bush does.

1.  If we don't make justice then a lot of criminals will be let off for crimes they should have been punished for.

Do you want a president who plays with Barbie???

1.  That's just plain childish.

2.  Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya?  Do ya? No I don't think so.

Back:  George W. Bush promises to stop Al Gore from wrecking our society.

See you today at our rally.  Come prepared.  And remember to make the right decision and vote for Bush!!!
