Live Open Debate For Parents
On this debate the parents came and asked questions about Bush's views. The last mock election the parents, as Mr. Sowders would say, " Were ruthless." In this debate they were pretty hard, but not too hard. Some of the questions were about Napster, the military, education and many other things.
The second Debate:
The second debate wasn't as successful as the first. For one, it was live so everyone was nervous. We didn't get as many cheers as in a rally because it was more formal. Here are some of the questions asked.
Q What will your main goal as president be?
Bush: to focus on our schools and make them better.
Gore: To focus on our defenses and schools.
Q Mr. Bush, why do you want profanity banned from cds, movies, and such?
Bush: I think you misunderstood my commercial. We were saying that Gore wants profanity banned and I think they should be able to express their opinions.
Q What are your views on gun control?
Bush: I think all guns should have locks, but they shouldn't be taken away.
Gore: No one but police should have guns.
Q What is your view on abortion?
Bush: I am pro-life because the babies are innocent.
Gore: It's the mother's choice because the baby came from her.

Bush: My plans will greatly help America
Gore: I have been vice president for 8 years and I know what to do.
The first Debate:
The first Debate was a success for the Republican Party. Bush did so well that Gore couldn't speak. Gore kept stumbling over himself and he kept doing nervous habits. For example, Gore kept shaking his legs and also playing and twirling his thumbs. Bush was calm and cool. And I think this Debate will win a lot of votes for the Republican Party.
Question: Why do you want to enforce the death penalty, but appose abortion?
Answer: Criminals are responsible for their actions and should be punished for them. Small children that are still in the womb have done nothing and are innocent for their actions.
