Between the fifth and fifteenth centuries, Europe freed itself from occupying Romans, converted the pillaging Vikings to Christianity, created new community and societal structures, survived the bubonic plague, and passed laws that still influence governments today. It was a time of crusaders, knights, castles, mystical kings, and many superstitious beliefs. It was the Middles Ages, more commonly know as the Medieval Times.
