HOOVEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM SUPPLIES

2008-2009 School Year

 

**IMPORTANT** Please put your child’s name on all of the school supplies possible. Also put your child’s name on their coats, hats, and anything else that could be left at school.

 

 

Kindergarten- Kim Dennett

School Bag – please put child’s name inside in permanent marker

1 box of crayons (24 count size)

8 glue sticks

1 pair of child size scissors, blunt tip

1 pack of markers

1 pack of paper plates

1 box of tissues

Wish List – Any of these items would be appreciated:  Play-Doh, styrofoam cups, hand sanitizer, Kroger gift cards to buy class snacks.

 

 

First Grade – Mrs. Koenig

1 plastic school supply box – not a pencil bag

1 pair of Fiskars scissors (these work the best)

1 box of 24 crayons

2 bottles of 4 oz. glue

1 eraser

2 packs of #2 pencils, sharpened

2 family size boxes of tissues

1 spiral-bound notebook, wide-ruled, not perforated

1 pack of 3x5 white index cards

1 pencil sharpener (with a lid to hold shavings)

1 backpack (large enough to hold a folder and reading materials)

3 folders – plain colored

1 box of diaper wipes (refill packs are fine)

 

* Please put your child’s name on the school supply box, scissors, crayons, pencil sharpener, notebooks, backpack and folders only.  The rest of the supplies will be combined to share.

Wish List – Any of these items would be appreciated:  play-doh, paper towels, napkins, plastic spoons, styrofoam cups, Kroger gift cards to develop pictures, markers – thick or thin, craft supplies, Lysol wipes, brown lunch bags.

 

Second Grade – Mrs. George

1 pencil sharpener with catcher for shavings

2 packs of SHARPENED #2 pencils

2 spiral-bound notebook, wide-ruled

1 plastic tow pocket folder with center

1 two pocket folder with center fasteners

2 yellow highlighters

1 box of baby wipes

1 backpack

Boys – 1 box of tissues

Girls – 1 bottle of hand sanitizer

1 PLASTIC two-pocket folder

1 pencil sharpener with lid

1 plastic 12 inch ruler with inches and centimeters

1 box baby wipes

2 erasers (the big kind – not pencil cap erasers)

Boys – 1 box of glass cleaner (any brand)

Girls – 1 box of zip lock sandwich size bags (any brand)

Third Grade – Mrs. Horning

4 – 12 packs of #2 pencils (Sharpened)

1 box of 24 crayons

1 box of 8 Crayola washable classic markers

1 pair scissors

2 large glue sticks

1 small plastic school box or bag

1 pink eraser

2 spiral notebooks (wide ruled)

4 folders with 2 pockets & prongs: one each:  yellow, red, green, blue (do not put your name on them)

2 folders, your choice

1 hand-held pencil sharpener with lid to hold shavings

1 ruler with inches and centimeters

2 highlighters

2 boxes of tissues

Boys – 1 box of large zip lock bags
