TRACK & FIELD RECORDS

Guidelines on Setting of Records:

1) FAT times are preferred over hand timed records.
2) When comparing FAT and hand time records, a standard conversion of .24 seconds will be used. For example, if an athlete runs in a hand timed race, .24 seconds will be added to their time before comparing it to a FAT record. The opposite of above will also occur. If an athlete runs in a FAT race, .24 seconds will be subtracted from their time if it is to be compared to hand timed record.
3) No conversion will be used when comparing hand timed to hand timed or FAT to FAT records.
