LATEST NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
6/6
- The OHSAA State Track & Field Meet took place before a jam packed
Jesse Owens Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University.
Josh Dugan represented Harrison in two events and had a very busy
day. The competition started with the long jump where Josh
struggled to find his steps and only managed to get one good jump in --
but he made it count. The jump of 22'3" was a new personal best
and was good enough to place 6th in the state. While Josh was
frustrated with his performance he cannot be disappointed with a great
finish. After the awards ceremony, Josh had little time to rest
as the high jump started quickly afterwards. His mark of 6'6" was
a great jump, but came up short of the awards stand and placed him 10th
in the state. Congratulations to Josh on an outstanding season (3
school records, 2 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships and
the 2 top 10 finishes at State)!
5/30 - Congratulations to Josh Dugan who became the first Harrison athlete to ever win two Regional Championships during the same year as he out-jumped all competitors in the high jump and long jump at the Regional Meet in Dayton. On the first day of competition, Josh won the long jump on his final attempt with a leap of 22' 2.5". This bested the 2nd place finisher by only .25". On the second day, Josh won the high jump with a mark of 6' 8" which not only shattered Josh's previous best but also allowed him to break his own school record. Josh can now lay claim as the best jumper in southwest Ohio and he will move onto the State meet in both events. Annie Robben and Kim Rosen came up just a bit short in their quest for the State meet. Annie got on the awards stand and placed 7th in the pole vault with a mark of 10'0". She'll have two more shots at State and will be back next year ready to move on to Columbus. Kim placed 11th in the discus where she managed to toss another PR (for the 3rd week in a row) of 109' 10". Congrats to both girls on outstanding seasons! 5/23 - The District Track Meet proved to be a bittersweet meet as we ran some great times, broke or tied 4 records, and competed really well, but in the end we came up a little short as only the top 4 places move on to Regionals, while everyone else gets to go home and think about next year. The teams ended up having five 5th place finishes and four 6th place finishes to end up coming tantalizingly close to taking a huge group up to Dayton. Close but no cigar as only 3 will make the trip: Josh Dugan, Annie Robben, and Kim Rosen. The girls ended up placing 8th out of 18 teams at the meet. Annie was District Champion in the pole vault. She once again cleared 10'7" to tie the school record and break the District Record previously held by Colerain's Kayla Dunn. Annie will be ranked 3rd at Regionals. Kim Rosen was a surprise qualifier in the discus. On paper, it didn't look like Kim had much of a shot, but while her competitors threw far below what they were expected Kim picked up a PR for the 2nd straight week and will move on to Dayton! Brittany Hall's return from an injured ankle was hit by more bad luck as she ran some great times but came up a bit short and finished 5th in both the 100 and 200m dashes. Brit had a fantastic season, but the injury came at just the wrong time for her. She'll be back with a vengeance next year. Emily Adams also placed in both the 100 and 200m dashes as she finished 8th in both events to end a great freshmen campaign. Finally the 4x800m relay team of Megan Koehler, Michele Cowie, Jamie Kleiner, and Ashley Hoeffer ran their best time of the year and placed 6th. SHOT PUT Rosen - 34-7.25 - 6th DISCUS Rosen - 108-11 - 3rd POLE VAULT Robben - 10-7 - 1st *District Record 3200m RELAY Koehler, Kleiner, Cowie, Hoeffer - 10:32.55 - 6th 100m DASH Hall - 13.16/13.02 - 5th Adams - 13.22/13.29 - 8th 200m DASH Hall - 26.83/26.53 - 5th Adams - 27.33/26.99 - 8th The boys also finished 8th at the meet. Although they ran some fantastic times, only Josh Dugan will be advancing. Josh was a double District Champion in the high jump and long jump. In the high jump he broke the school record that he had previously tied. Josh stands a good shot at state if things go right next week. After Josh, it began to rain 5th place finishes. Dillon Meyers was 5th in the long jump by 2 inches and Eddie Lehrter was 5th in the pole vault. The 4x100m relay team of Logan Ladd, Josh Dugan, Randy Doss, and Dillon Meyers broke the school record during the prelims (44.05) and were sitting in the 4th spot for the finals. While they ran a blazing time in the finals and shattered their new record (43.85), it was only good enough for 5th. I don't know if they could have run any faster....they just came up short. Nick Gandy closed his high school career in fine fashion. On Wednesday, he anchored the 4x4 along with Doss, Dugan, and Meyers where they broke the 36 year old record in the event (3:27.75). On Friday, Nick ran a personal best in the 800 but came up just a few tenths of a second short. Finally, freshman Bobby Sherman managed to place in the 1600m run with a fine race.....great job for a frosh to place at this meet! This began the series of meets that we train for all year: leagues, districts, and hopefully more. This is the time when we really want to run our best times and make our best marks. For the girls, the string of bad luck injuries late in the year proved to be too much to overcome as they finished 6th at the meet. The only member of the team to pull out a 1st place finish was Annie Robben in the pole vault. Annie vaulted to an easy 1st with a vault of 10'0" and looked great doing it even though she has been restricted to very few practice sessions. Unfortunately, Annie could not run at the meet due to her hip injury. The 4x400 relay team of Brittany Hall, Emily Adams, Michele Cowie, and Megan Koehler ran their best time of the year (4:14.7) and came in 3rd in an exciting, down to the wire finish. Aside from her fine opening leg in the 4x4, Brittany also placed 4th in both the 100 and 200m dashes. Britt is still attempting to recover from an ankle sprain and was in a boot until just before the meet. Emily Adams ran to a great 3rd place finish in the 400m dash and a 5th place in the 200m dash as well. Kim Rosen posted a pair of 4th place finishes in the throws including a big PR of 107'1" in the discus. Special recognition goes to Michelle Brackett who placed 6th in 3 events and ran 2 personal bests in her hurdle events (not bad for our little frosh) and Ashley Hoeffer who ran a personal best for the year of 12:24 in placing 6th in the 3200m run. They came away with a 3rd place finish and ran some impressive times on their way to doing it. They opened the meet with a dominant performance in the field events. Josh Dugan, on his way to being named the Most Valuable Field Event Performer of the Year in the FAVC, won both the high jump and long jump. Ed Lehrter won the pole vault as he tied his personal best and Kellen Nixon brought back 2 second place finishes from the throwing circles. After day 1, the boys were at the top of the point total and looked to build on that in day 2. That day, the team was led by Randy Doss who brought home 4 FAVC medals. Randy placed 3rd in both the 100 and 200m dashes. He then helped the 4x100m relay team to a first place finish that stunned many onlookers. Randy was joined by Logan Ladd, Josh Dugan, and Dillon Meyers in what proved to be a school record tying run. Randy, Josh, and Dillon then partnered with Nick Gandy for the 4x400m relay and ran what was probably the 2nd fastest time in that event in school history and a 3rd place finish. Great job to all the guys on a fantastic meet! The girls, though not a full strength, managed a 4th place finish while the boys showed that their best performances may still be coming as they finished 3rd, just 2 points behind Oak Hills. Leading the way for the girls was Emily Adams who stepped up with a much needed effort to fill the void left by an injury to Brittany Hall. Emily placed 2nd in both the 100m and 400m dashes and followed that up with a 3rd place finish in the 200m dash. Emily showed she can handle competing in all 3 races during a meet. First place finishes were turned in by Ashley Hoeffer in the 3200m run and Kim Rosen in the shot put. Kim also placed 2nd in the discus. Annie Robben returned to competition with 2nd place finishes in the pole vault and 100m hurdles but she reaggravated a hip flexor injury and had to be pulled from the rest of her events. The 3200m relay team of Michele Cowie, Jamie Kleiner, Michelle Woelfel, and Ashley Hoeffer managed to run a season's best time of 10:37. This was a big drop for the girls and it put them in 3rd place. Finally great job to Megan Koehler who ran a personal best time of 2:29.5 in the 800m run, Michelle Brackett who placed in all 4 events that she competed in, and Alecia Littleton who placed in both throwing events. Dillon Meyers had an outstanding day as he won the long jump, anchored the winning 4x100m relay team, placed 2nd in the 200m dash and 3rd in the 100m dash. Dillon was joined on the relay by Logan Ladd, Josh Dugan, and Randy Doss. Randy continues to impress in the sprints as he won the 200m dash and placed 2nd in the 100m dash. Kellen Nixon was also a first place finisher in the shot put. Other 2nd place finishes were turned in by Nick Gandy as he continues to cut down time in the 400m dash, Brandon Robinson in the discus, and Josh Dugan in the high jump. Adam Schneider (shot put), Ed Lehrter (pole vault), and the 4x800 relay team of Gandy, Dan Bell, Bobby Sherman, and Adam Pemberton all placed third. Great job also to Cory Prickett and Bobby Sherman in their races. The boys will need to bring their best efforts next week as they go for the FAVC title.....they could surprise!! The girls placed 5th out of 8 teams and were led by Brittany Hall's trifecta of 2nd place finishes. Brit was matched up against Kings High School's Emilee Slowik, one of the best sprinters in Cincy history, and was with her stride for stride in the 100m and 200m dashes. Brittany came through with two great 2nd place finishes there and then backed that up by leading off for the 2nd place 4x400m relay team. Brittany, Emily Adams, Michele Cowie, and Megan Koehler all ran personal bests for the year as they ran the best time the girls have put up in that race for the year (4:17). Kim Rosen continued her strong showing in the shot put as she also placed 2nd for the girls. Other fine performances were turned in by Michelle Brackett in the pole vault and Kaitlyn Ward with a personal best in the high jump of 4' 7". Josh Dugan continued his dominance in the jumps as he tied the school record (6' 5") in winning the high jump and then also won the long jump. Josh's performances continue to show that he is the best all around jumper in the area. Kellen Nixon also picked up a first place in winning the shot put with a throw of 48' 10.5". Those winners were backed up by a number of fine performances from their teammates. Nick Gandy tried his hand at the open 800 and found that he could excel there as well with a 2nd place finish. Randy Doss kept his string of great sprints alive picking up 2nd place in the 200m and 3rd place in the 100m dash. Randy then combined with Josh, Logan Ladd, and Dillon Meyers in placing 2nd in the 400m relay with a time of 44.1. This is just one tenth of a second off of the school record. This would be a fantastic record to break and it will surely happen by the end of the year! Other 3rd place performances were turned in by Dillon Meyers in the long jump and Ed Lehrter in the pole vault. Also having a great meet was Michael Montique with 2 fantastic 400m performances. The conditions were near perfect as it was sunny and about 70 degrees and that helped to produce some great performances from both our athletes and our visitors. Five meet records were broken including 2 by Oak Hills' Brooklyne Ridder who now owns all 3 individual distance records at the invite. The girl's team once again proved that they are a team to contend with as they ran through the competition and won the meet by over 20 points, brought home 2 Most Valuable Performer awards, one meet record, 7 first place finishes, and double scored in 7 events. Kim Rosen was dominant in the throws as she picked up 2 1st place finishes and won the Most Valuable Field Events Performer award. Kim was backed up by freshman Alecia Littleton who placed 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put. The Most Valuable Runner award went to Brittany Hall. Brit picked up a 1st place finish in the 200m dash (joined by 2nd place finisher Emily Adams) and was a close 2nd in the 100m dash. She cinched up the award by leading off for the winning 4x4 relay team and managed to out-point Ridder for the award. Brittany was joined on the 4x4 by Emily Adams, Michele Cowie, and Michelle Woelfel. Annie Robben picked up 2 1st place finishes: one in the 300m hurdles and the other in the pole vault where she broke her own school record and set a new meet record with a vault of 10'7". Annie was also 2nd in the 100m hurdles where she ran a PR. Ashley Hoeffer ran her best time of the season in the 3200m run in winning the event with a great performance. Finally Michelle Brackett had a great meet as she placed 3rd in the pole vault and then ran 2 PRs in her hurdle events. Congratulations to the girl's on a job well done!! Kellen Nixon marked his return to the track with a personal best at his first meet of the year. Kellen won the shot put with a throw of 48'9.5". Jumper Josh Dugan tied for the best mark in the high jump but placed 3rd on misses and then placed 2nd place in the long jump. He was backed up there by a 3rd place finish from Dillon Meyers. It provides us with our first true test to see exactly how good we are. It allows our best athletes to measure themselves against the best in the city and to make a statement to the rest of area. It provides an opportunity for some athletes to step up and be noticed by the coaches. Finally, it allows all of our athletes to gain some valuable experience that will be useful in the coming weeks. This year's running of the Classic proved to be no different as both the boys and girls put up perhaps their best and most balanced efforts in years in the qualifying and finals. During the qualifying meet at Ross HS, the girls rampaged to a 3rd place finish just 2 points behind league rival Winton Woods (last year's district champs!). The star of the day was Annie Robben as she had internet message boards buzzing with her dominant performance. Annie won the 300m hurdles with a personal best time, placed 2nd in the 100m hurdles, and led off for the first place 4x400m relay team. She capped that off by not only winning the pole vault, but besting her own school record and breaking the meet record with a vault of 10'6". This mark moved Annie into the top 5 performances in Cincinnati history in the girl's vault. Annie's performance was matched by sprinter Brittany Hall who looked to make the finals after missing out last year due to injury. Brit did not disapppoint as she placed 2nd in the 100 and 200m dashes and ran a leg on the 4x4. Kim Rosen also qualified in multiple events (shot and discus) as did Ashley Hoeffer (1600/3200m run), Megan Koehler (4x8/800m run), and the find of the year thus far, Michele Cowie (4x8/4x4). Also qualifying were Michelle Woelfel and Jamie Kleiner in the 4x8, Emily Adams making her case for a spot in the 4x4 with a great run, and Michelle Brackett with a huge breakthrough in the pole vault (8'0") and a 2nd place finish. The promised severe storms held off, but were replaced with a strong headwind that held down times especially in the sprint events. The girls managed a fine 12th place finish where 4 individuals and one relay team scored. Kim Rosen led off the scoring by placing 6th in the shot put. A good showing against some fine competition including previous state qualifiers. Annie Robben began her busy day with an 8th place and 7th place in her hurdle events. Brittany Hall was disappointed in her 100m dash performance, but came back strong with a 5th in the 200. Brittany and Annie were then joined by Emily Adams and Michele Cowie for the 4x400m relay. They got placed in the hot heat based on their qualifying time and were up against 4 teams that went to state from our region last year. They cruised home to a fine 8th place finish and gained valuable experience. This relay team has some big goals and this was a fine way to get started. The pole vault seemed like it would never start as the boy's were up first and took all evening. The girls did not get underway until after the running events were over and all the other fans and athletes were filing out of the stadium. Michelle Brackett did a great job vaulting 7'6" and placing 5th in this city-wide competition. Not bad for our little freshman!! The competition came down to Annie Robben and Kierstin Wones from Mason HS. Annie refused to be beaten and matched her new rival vault for vault. Both cleared 10'6" (Annie with one less miss) and the bar moved to 11'0". Annie had 3 great attempts at this mark, but did not manage to clear (she will next time) while Kierstin also missed 3 times. First place came down to misses which meant that Annie was the Coaches Classic champion for 2008! Great job to all the girls on a fine week!!! To see how far this group has come in a year's time, compare that to the 1 individual that went to the finals last year! As a team, the boys finished 5th at the prelim meet. Josh Dugan led all individuals by making it to Friday in 4 events. He won both the high jump and long jump (actually had the best marks from all 4 sites) and also went in the 4x1 and 4x4. Senior Nick Gandy also had a great meet as he led 2 relays (4x8 and 4x4) to qualification and also made it out in the 400m dash. Randy Doss showed that he is going to be a contender all year in the sprints as he ran 2 blazing 100m dashes finishing 2nd in that event and then helped the 4x1 to their best time of the year and a 3rd place finish. Michael Montique also advanced in 2 events (4x8/4x4) as did Ed Lehrter (pole vault/4x4) and Dillon Meyers (long jump/4x1). Other athletes advancing included Adam Schneider (shot put), Adam Pemberton (4x8), Dan Bell (4x8), and Logan Ladd (4x1). Complete results of the prelims are below.... An emergency call back to Harrison brought David Hayes from practice to Fairfield to fill in for Dillon in the 4x1. Great job to David for jumping in without any reservations and doing a good job on top of that. Overall, the team finished 15th out of 32 teams on the strength of the jumps. Ed Lehrter cleared his highest mark ever in the pole vault in the biggest meet thus far. Ed vaulted 12'0" and placed 8th in the meet. Edwin has clearly grown up since last year as he recalled how he no heighted on this very pole vault pit last year. A BIG improvement. Meanwhile Josh Dugan was the busiest person on the track as he had to be in 3 places at once. As he was tending to his duties on the 4x1 relay, he was also involved in the high jump and long jump. Josh easily won the HJ with a jump of 6'4" and then followed that up with a great 4th place finish in the LJ. Full list of our scorers below.... LONG JUMP Dugan - 21-.25 - 4th HIGH JUMP Dugan - 6-4 - 1st POLE VAULT Lehrter - 12-0 - 8th 4/4 - It was a dismal day for a track meet, but the FAVC relays at Anderson High School went on nonetheless. The rainy and somewhat cold conditions led to some dropped batons, poor performances, and some other lapses in concentration and after being snake-bitten with injuries for the past several seasons, we decided to drop out of the last 2 events as the temperature continued to drop. There was no sense in risking a pulled hamstring this early in the year. Even with the poor conditions, we did have some promising things happen. The girls managed to pull out a 4th place team finish behind a couple of strong performances. The biggest news was the 1600m medley relay team of Annie Robben, Emily Adams, Brittany Hall, and Megan Koehler shattering the previous school record. The girls ran the 2-2-4-8 relay in a time of 4:37.0. Annie and Emily handled the 200m legs with Brittany running a blazing 400m in under 1:04. As we knew it would, the record would come down to the 800m anchor leg run by Megan. The senior did not disappoint and came across the line with her first school record after 4 years of dedication and hard work. Great job girls! One first place finish was turned in by the vaulting duo of Robben and Michelle Brackett. With the rain coming down, the girls did just enough to win the event and then went to the shuttle hurdles where they combined with Sara Milner and Michelle Woelfel to place 2nd in the event. Junior thrower Kim Rosen continued her strong start to the season by combining with Alecia Littleton in the shot put and Nicole Peddenpohl in the discus to place 3rd in both events. In the rain, Josh managed to jump 6'2" in the high jump (best in the event) and was joined by Michael Montique with a jump of 5'8". After their jumps were combined they came up with a first place finish. Josh also finished first in the long jump where he combined with Dillon Meyers. Both had great jumps over 19'! The other solid performance of the day was turned in by the 3200m relay team of Montique, Dan Bell, Cory Prickett, and Adam Pemberton who placed 3rd. I would guess that during that time, Oak Hills has shown up at about 75% of the meets that we've competed in and they've probably beaten the girls every single time.....until this year. The girls dominated the competition (including 8th ranked Oak Hills) in winning the Wildcat All-Comers Meet on the home track. On the LONG and WINDY day, the girls scored in 15 out of 17 events (only missing on the 2 events we did not enter), had 2 scorers in 10 events, and swept 1st and 2nd place in 3 events. All of that added up to an impressive 174 points, 1st place, and a trophy to add to the collection. Now, before we inflate our egos too much, let's recognize that this was over spring break when teams might not have been at full strength and let's look at the times and marks we turned in. Although they were good enough to win the meet, hopefully we are not satisfied. We cannot run those types of times this year and expect to achieve the goals we've set for ourselves. There is still a LOT of work to be done and a LOT of things to clean up. During the meet, standout performances were turned in by Kim Rosen with a sweep of 1st in the shot put and discus and Annie Robben with an ugly first in the pole vault and a prettier one in the 300 hurdles. The dynamic sprinting duo of Brittany Hall and Emily Adams swept 1st and 2nd in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Emily looks like a strong and fast runner and should be a great compliment to what we know Brit can do. Ashley Hoeffer picked up a 1st in the 3200m run. Second place performances were turned in by Robben in the 100m hurdles, Hall in the long jump, Michelle Brackett in the pole vault, the 4x800m relay team of Megan Koehler, Sara Milner, Michelle Woelfel, and Michelle Cowie, and the 4x400m relay team of Hall, Robben, Koehler, and Woelfel. Other standout performers included newcomers Kaitlyn Ward, Michelle Cowie, and Alecia Littleton. For the first time ever it appears that our biggest depth will come from our sprinters and jumpers. They did not disappoint as the 400m relay team picked up a 1st place finish for the first time that I can remember. Logan Ladd, Randy Doss, David Hayes, and Dillon Meyers came through in 45.81 as they look to try to break the school record in the event. Still lots more of work for that to happen, but it was a great start to the season. Picking up 2nd places finishes were Nick Gandy in the 400m dash (Nick looked great today), Dillon Meyers in the long jump, Ed Lehrter in the pole vault (without much practice due to the weather), Randy Doss in the 200m dash, and the 4x200m relay team of Ladd, Hayes, Lehrter, and Tyler Elrod. This meet is very selective with rigorous entry standards based on the previous year's personal bests. Athletes from at least 15 states competed in this meet and they represented the best of the best from the region. A small handful of these runners posted top 5 marks in the nation in previous years including a number of Junior Olympic athletes. It was truly a great honor for our 3 girls to be accepted in the meet and they represented Harrison quite well. Annie placed 5th in the pole vault as she tied her personal best mark of 10'0". A fantastic mark for this point in the year especially when you consider she has no pit to practice on right now. Annie also competed in the 60m hurdles. Brittany ran a solid time in the 60m dash then followed that up by cutting over a second off of her 200m time from 2 weeks ago. Megan rounded out our competitors as she ran the 1 mile. Another handful of our athletes stayed closer to home and ran in the Harrison Mayor's Fund Run which is a 5K race. Dan Bell placed 4th overall (1st in his age division) and was followed by Bobby Sherman (5th), Cody Simpkins (7th), Matt Wallin (11th), and Kurghan Horn (13th). On the girl's side, Ashley "Mighty Mouse" Hoeffer came in 4th overall (1st in her age group) and was followed by Jamie Kleiner (13th), Michelle Cowie (17th), Danielle Rueter (18th), and Michelle Woelfel (27th). Complete results for both races can be found by clicking on the RESULTS link on the left. 2/9 - Megan Koehler, Brittany Hall, Ashley Hoeffer, Annie Robben, and Bobby Sherman all competed at the Cedarville University High School Indoor Tune-up in Cedarville, Ohio. All of our athletes competed well as some got their first taste of the year in some races while others sought to improve on previous times. Annie Robben was the only Wildcat to place with a vault of 9'6" in the pole vault. For a complete list of results, please click on the RESULTS link on the left of the page. 1/19 - Seven members of the team opened up their seasons by trekking north to Cedarville to compete in the Cedarville Early Bird High School meet. Rising early were Brittany Hall and Annie Robben who both competed in the prelims of the sprint and hurdles races in the morning. Brittany overcame a shaky start in the 55m dash and managed to qualify for the finals where she not only improved on her first race but placed 13th out of 73 competitors. Later in the day, Brit ran in only her 2nd 400m dash ever and finished with a solid time of 1:09 and a 15th place finish. Altogether a solid early season showing. Annie also had a busy day, placing 7th in the 55m hurdles and 13th in the 400m dash (1:07). In the pole vault, Annie corrected some early season mistakes, found renewed confidence in a new pole, and placed 3rd in the competition with a vault of 9' 6". Not bad for not having anyplace to practice. The distance crew slept in and arrived later in the day. Megan Koehler opened up her senior season with an impressive 8th place finish (5:54) in the 1600m run and a 10th place finish (2:46) in the 800m run. Megan's time in the 1600 is her best ever at this point in the year and points to what should be a great last year. Ashley Hoeffer also doubled in the 1600 & 800m runs and placed 12th (6:04) and 14th (2:49) respectivley. Both were fine showings! Finally for the girls, Danielle Rueter competed in the long jump and matched some of her performances from last year (12' 6") which puts her in great shape for the year. On the boy's side, frosh Bobby Sherman and junior Cody Simpkins competed in both the 1600m and 800m runs. In his debut, Bobby ran an impressive times of 5:16 and 2:28. Not a bad start! Cody ran to times of 5:54 and 2:40. The next indoor meet will also be at Cedarville on February 9. It will be interesting to see how much improvement occurs between now and then! Preparations
will start for the 2008 track and field season on January 3, 2008 (the
first day back after the Holiday Break). Practices are voluntary
and will involve basic conditioning workouts and lifting weights.
All are welcome. For those interested in getting some
competition, we will likely participate in 3-5 indoor track meets at
various colleges and universities throughout the winter leading up to
the outdoor season. In the past we have traveled to the
University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, The Ohio State
University, University of Findlay, and Cedarville University. Athletes
are NOT required to compete at the indoor meets.
It is only for those that choose to. The main purpose of
the "indoor season" is to get in shape for the outdoor season.
Remember that the sooner you start, the better shape you'll be in
when it comes time to compete in the spring. See Coach Menze if
you have any questions about indoor track/conditioning.
