Preparations will start for the 2010 track and field season on January
4, 2010 (the
first day back after the Holiday Break). Practices are voluntary
and will involve basic conditioning workouts and lifting weights.
All are welcome to attend. For those interested in getting some
competition, we will likely participate in 3-5 indoor track meets at
various colleges and universities throughout the winter leading up to
the outdoor season. In the past we have traveled to the
University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, The Ohio State
University, University of Findlay, and Cedarville University. Athletes
are NOT required to compete at the indoor meets.
It is only for those that choose to. The main purpose of
the "indoor season" is to get in shape for the outdoor season.
Remember that the sooner you start, the better shape you'll be in
when it comes time to compete in the spring. See Coach Menze if
you have any questions about indoor track/conditioning.
