Dear Parents:

 

The Harrison Athletic Boosters is proud to present its Summer Sports Camp Extravaganza!  We have a variety of summer sports camps that will hopefully appeal to everyone.  Below is the information pertaining to these camps.  If your child is interested in attending, simply fill out the waiver form and the registration form.  Send the forms, along with the correct payment, to the address listed below one week prior to camp date.  If you have any questions, please call Mr. Schiering, Athletic Director, at 367-4169.  Thank you.

 

 

1.  Cheerleading Clinic - Open to girls entering grades 1-8.  Learn the latest in cheers, chants, jumps and dance.  Come individually or as an entire squad.  Harrison High School cheerleaders will teach clinic.  Each participant will receive a free camp T-shirt.

Dates:  Aug.  5 - 8                                                Time:  5:30 to 7:30 p.m.                     Cost:  $40             Location: Harrison High School

2.  Girls’ Basketball Camp - All girls entering grades 2-9 are welcome.  The camp will include drills on fundamentals, offensive and defensive skills, as well as games and contests.  T-shirts will be given away.  The Harrison High School Girls Basketball Staff directs the camp.

Dates: June  16 - 19                                            Time: 9:00 to 11:30 a.m..                                                   Location: Harrison High School

3.  Boys’ Basketball Camp - This is for boys entering grades K-9.  The Wildcat Basketball staff will present a program of instruction in basketball fundamentals and team play.  The emphasis on this camp will be team concepts and drills that players will use throughout their Wildcat careers.  Topics will include the following: shooting techniques, movement with and without the ball, post play, passing, dribbling, rebounding, team offensive concepts and motivation.  Campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

4.  Volleyball Camp - Open to girls entering grades 4-9.  Learn the fundamentals of volleyball, meet new friends and have fun!  Harrison Volleyball Coaching Staff will conduct Camp.  Registration includes a T-shirt.

5.  Football Camp – Open to boys entering grades 3-12.  Registration includes a T-shirt.

Dates:  June 2 - 5                                                Time:  9:00 to  Noon                                                           Location: Harrison High School

6.  Baseball Camps – For all baseball camps bring bat, glove, spikes, and gym shoes.

Pitching/Catching – emphasis on proper mechanics – Ages 7 to 17

Dates:  June 16                                                    Time:  9:00 to  Noon                           Cost:  $25             Location:  Harrison High School

Hitting – drills, proper mechanics as well as philosophy of hitting – Ages 7 to 1

Comprehensive I – hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running – Ages 7 to 17

Dates:  June 18, 19, 20                                      Time:  9:00 to  Noon                           Cost:  $35            

Pitching/Catching, Hitting, and Comprehensive – All 5 days – – Registration includes a T-shirt

Dates:  June 16 - 20                                            Time:  9:00 to Noon                            Cost:  $65            

 

 

7.  Fast-Pitch Softball Camp – For all softball camps bring bat, glove, gym shoes, and catchers must bring equipment.  Registration includes a T shirt.

Dates:  June 2 - 5                                                Time:  1:00 to 3:30                             Cost:  $45             Location:  Harrison High School

8.  Girls’ Soccer Camp – Focus on technique, emphasis on touches, small-sides games, skills challenges (juggling, dribbling, shooting, etc.), have fun, positive role models for the campers.

Dates:  June 23 - 26                                            Time:  5:30 to 7 p.m.                                                           Location: Harrison High School
