Dear Parents,

            Below I have listed three ways that you and your child can go online to practice and reinforce what is being taught in the classroom.  Please save this to refer to throughout the year.  These are fantastic resources to help your child study for tests given in the classroom and to help prepare for the State Achievement Test in May.

1.  Quia Webpage:  Use this site to read my weekly newsletter and to play games that will help your child study for units that we are currently working on in the classroom.

2.  Pearson Success Net :  This is our Math Textbook Site.  Use this site to specifically study for our math tests as we cover them in class.  Each chapter of our textbook is covered individually through games and test practice.

Go to:

    Type in your username:  your first name_ last name    Ex.  sue_smith  (lowercase)
    Type in your password:  crosby  (lowercase)
   Click on:  Take it to the net
    Click on:  Test Prep 
   
Click on:  The chapter that we are studying

3.  Study Island:  This is a site to practice all the items that need to be covered in sixth grade to prepare for the State Achievement Test.  This site covers reading and mathematics.  All of these sections need to be completed to practice for the test in May.

    Type in your username:  It is the same as your AR username with @si added to the end.  Example:  csilb@si   (don’t forget the @si part)
    Type in your password:  It is the same as your AR password
    Click on your grade level
     Click on the subject you wish to practice
