Thanks for leaping over to our New Special Education Learning Pad

at Whitewater Valley Elementary School!

This link was created with the mission to provide resources to families with children who are identified or suspected of having a disability.  You will also find the names and contact information for the Intervention Specialists and Support Services at our building.  Please feel free to contact us at anytime regarding a question, concern, or suggestion.

Our goal is to provide students with special learning needs the best supports and opportunities to be successful.  At our building we have developed a Special Education Committee that will meet quarterly to discuss how we can better educate the students and their families.  Our first meeting was held in October and another meeting will be held in January.  Other ideas that we hope will begin to unfold include developing a lending library of books and other resources for families.  We will be having a parent night to review testing for students with special needs and how parents can support their child’s preparation for these tests in January.  We hope you find this page to be full of new information and resources.  We welcome comments and suggestions regarding this information and other types of information you would like to have access to.  Enjoy!

Sincerely,

The Special Education Team at WVE
